A 3-day trip to Praslin & La Digue
Prehistoric palms, granite boulders, and unhurried bicycle commutes in the inner Seychelles.
Praslin and La Digue represent the geographic and sensory core of the granitic Seychelles. While Mahé holds the administrative weight and international runway, these two neighboring islands deliver the quintessential Indian Ocean environment: primordial coco de mer palms towering inside UNESCO-listed valleys, dramatic pink-granite sculptures flanking white sand, and a micro-scale lifestyle where the primary vehicle on La Digue is a single-speed bicycle with a front basket. Separated by a brisk 15-minute ferry crossing, they function best as an intertwined pairing that balances Praslin's quiet coastal drives and secluded coves with La Digue's vehicle-free, intimate village tempo.

What your 3-day plan includes
- A day-by-day itinerary with neighborhoods clustered so you spend less time in transit.
- Real budget awareness — a target, an estimate, and a status you can dial up or down.
- Recommendations shaped by your pace, food priorities, group, and must-dos.
- Swap anything, improve any day, refine in any direction without starting over.
How to plan 3 days in Praslin & La Digue
- Base yourself in Cote d'Or on Praslin if you want to walk to dinner and excursions; stay in Anse Kerlan only if staying at an all-inclusive property.
- Do not book a single day trip to cover both islands from Mahé—the ferry logistics eat 3 hours round-trip, leaving you fatigued during midday heat.
- Reserve your Constance Lémuria gate access for Anse Georgette at least two weeks out if you do not want to hike the steep pass from Anse Lazio.
- Rent your bicycle immediately at the La Passe jetty upon ferry arrival, and ask for one with working gears to conquer the inland hill to Grand Anse.
- Pair your visit to Vallée de Mai with an early morning slot at 08:30 to see the black parrots before tour coaches arrive from the cruise ports.
