A 7-day trip to Kaş
A bohemian Lycian outpost of whitewashed timber balconies, clear deep water, and relaxed coastal living.
Perched on the rugged southern fringe of the Tekke Peninsula, Kaş is the Turquoise Coast’s most charming town. Protected from the high-rise mass tourism of Antalya and Alanya by steep coastal cliffs and a long drive from major airports, Kaş trades mega-resorts for boutique stone pensions, seaside sun decks, Lycian sarcophagi standing nonchalantly on street corners, and an enduring maritime rhythm.

How to plan 7 days in Kaş
- Stay in Old Town if you value walking to dinner and morning swims; choose the Çukurbağ Peninsula only if you rent a scooter or car for daily commuting.
- Book a full-day shared or private boat tour to the Sunken City of Kekova and Simena Castle rather than driving down to Üçağız yourself.
- Take the 20-minute morning ferry to Meis (Kastellorizo), Greece for lunch, but make sure your Schengen visa status and passport are sorted in advance.
- Arrive at Kaputaş Beach by 9:00 AM on a dolmuş; by 11:00 AM the cliffside staircase is jammed and parking along the D400 highway is gridlocked.
- Reserve an evening seat at the Antiphellos ancient amphitheater 30 minutes before sunset for panoramic Mediterranean views without paying an entry fee.
