How to plan 7 days in Suncheon, South Korea

  • Base yourself near Suncheon Station if your trip runs on public transit; base in Okcheon-dong if you want indie cafes and evening character.
  • Don't schedule Naganeupseong Folk Village and Songgwangsa Temple on the same day unless you have a rental car—the rural cross-bus connections will eat half your sunlight.
  • Time your walk to Yongsan Observatory so you reach the wooden deck 45 minutes before posted sunset; the light cutting across the S-shaped tidal channel is fleeting.
