How to plan 5 days in Daegu

  • Stay within walking distance of Banwoldang Station if you want to walk to the modern history trails, Seomun Market, and Dongseong-ro without riding transit every morning.
  • Pair Daegu with Gyeongju or Busan—Dongdaegu Station connects to Gyeongju in 18 minutes and Busan in 45 minutes via KTX, making it an easy multi-city anchor.
  • Do not attempt Palgongsan (Donghwasa Temple) and Apsan Park on the same day; they sit on opposite northern and southern mountain ridges of the basin.
  • Plan your Seomun Market visit for Friday or Saturday evening to experience both the heritage fabric stalls by day and the massive outdoor night food market by night.
